The Dark Knight - Film Review
OUTSTANDING FILM

First off, rest in peace Heath Ledger. Your performance in this film is unlike any other in any film ever. For the film, it's brilliant, groundbreaking, and different. Yes, it's a superhero film, but it's also not. It's like any other crime film. This is no colorful Spider-Man, Superman or even Iron Man movie. This is a completely serious, breath-taking film. The Joker is rebuilt from scratch in this film and Batman seems more like a detective than a superhero.
The performances are not the only thing that drives this film, the story does as well. You find yourself realizing that every scene is critical to the overall film (that eventually leads to Aaron Eckhart's Harvey Dent turning into Two-Face) that you might not pick it up all at once. Another thing about this film is the violence. There is no way that this is a PG-13 movie. The violence alone is R-rated (Joker stabs someone's head with a pencil) and the tone is mature. I'd recommend this film to anyone. Even if you don't like superhero movies, give it a go. It's basically a thriller, but throw in Batman and the Joker.
